Dina is a native of Forest Hills Queens and raised there. But, she relocated to Dix Hills Long Island before the end of her senior year in high school. She is the younger sister of Gregory, and has an older brother, named Evan. The modeling profession was her first experience in the field. She did it from age nine to sixteen. Her acting career began in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was a student of Sanford Meisner's techniques alongside Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training, along with Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton and Diane Keaton are also among those actors who've received the same type of instruction. Following her move into Los Angeles, she got her first lead role in Beverly Hills, 90210. Within the following couple of months, she was offered the role in the role of Johnny Mnemonic. For this film, she was the one responsible for almost all the stunts and showed herself to be an excellent actress. Her agent for talent also represented Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent she was able score a recurring role on Friends.
